Amicable Agreements
If the parties, with our guidance, can reach a financial agreement following mediation or through solicitors by way of financial disclosure, a Consent Order can be drawn up which is forwarded to the court for the court’s approval.
We always advise our clients that it is preferable not only emotionally but also financially if they can reach an agreement as this provides them with certainty ie they have come to the agreement themselves rather than a Judge making the decision on their behalf. In addition resolving matters amicably can have a significant saving on legal costs.
Our expertise includes Property Transfer Orders, lump sum payments, pensions, spousal maintenance and child maintenance.
