Summer in Sussex Photography Competition 2026

We’re delighted to announce our latest Summer in Sussex Photography Competition for 2026. We hope the opportunity to showcase our fabulous county enjoying the summer vibe will provide both budding and experienced photographers with plenty of scope for some great images.

The competition is free to enter and will run from mid-July to Monday 14th September 2026.

There are both Adult and Junior (11-18 yrs) categories.

Only one image per entry is allowed and prizes include both Park Camera and Amazon vouchers.

Theme: Summer in Sussex

Adults: Over 18 yrs

Juniors: 11-18 yrs

Total Prize Value: £340

Adult Prizes: Park Camera Vouchers 1st £100, 2nd £70 & 3rd £50

Junior Prizes: Amazon Vouchers 1st £60, 2nd & 3rd £30

Entry Guidelines

Images must be taken in West & East Sussex, along with Brighton & Hove

Only one image per entrant

Entries must be in digital format only – we are unable to accept prints or slides

Entries must be JPEG files with a minimum resolution of 300dpi and a maximum of 10MB

Subject headline of email – Summer Photography Competition

Send entry as a separate attachment and not embedded in the body of the email

Images should include the title of the image and the photographer’s name e.g. Beachlife_JohnBarnes.jpg

Please include your name, location, email address (if different from the one you are sending the image from), location, a brief description of the image and whether you are entering the Adult or Junior Category

Entrants under 16 yrs will need to permission of a parent or guardian to enter

Entry deadline is Monday 14th July

Shortlisted & Winning Entries

• Gilva Tisshaw will choose the shortlisted images and overall winners
• Winners will be notified via email as soon as possible after the competition closes
• Winners’ names will be published on Tisshaws website, and winners may be required to participate in publicity

Terms & Conditions

Entry to the competition is acceptance of the following terms and conditions, so please read them carefully:

• Entry to the competition is free and open to all, except employees of Tisshaws and their families
• Entries must be free from text and photographer’s watermark
• All photographs submitted must be the work of the individual who submits them
• Entrants must ensure that photographs have been taken with the permission of the subject (where necessary) and do not infringe the copyright of any third party
• No photograph is to be obscene, defamatory or in breach of any applicable legislation or regulations. If Tisshaws has reason to believe your entry is not your own work or otherwise breaches this rule, your entry will NOT be considered
• No image that has previously won an award in any photographic competition or an image that has been paid for in any publication may be entered into this competition
• Use of AI is forbidden along with any manipulation of the image. The only exception is basic overall adjustment faithful to the original image in terms of exposure, contrast and sharpness
• Copyright of all entries remains with the photographer, but Tisshaws reserves the right to use, publish and republish entries in connection with the competition, without payment
• By entering this competition, you grant permission for Tisshaws to reproduce your photograph in electronic format, hard copy, and social media, should it be selected to promote the competition
• While no fees will be payable for any of the above uses, photographs will be credited where appropriate
• All entries are sent at the photographer’s risk. Tisshaws regret they cannot accept liability for any loss or damage of any images entered in the competition (howsoever caused), nor for any other loss or damage resulting therefrom
• The organiser’s decision on all matters relating to the competition is final and no correspondence will be entered into concerning the competition’s judges and organisation
• Your details will not be passed on to any third party
• All prizes are non-transferable
