We are proud to have supported many local charities and events over the years. This has been through donations, fundraising initiatives, sponsorship and by giving our time.
We actively promote and support our staff to get involved in the local community and during the pandemic we shopped for our elderly neighbours, along with initiating Community Champions. This project rewarded 10 unsung heroes of our community with £50 vouchers from local businesses, helping to support both individuals and retailers during the pandemic.
This year our Director, Gilva Tisshaw, put on her walking boots to complete a 26.2-mile marathon for the charity Macmillan Cancer Support. Gilva’s Thames Towpath Mighty Hike raised over £300.
We have also donated money to Mid Sussex Riding for the Disabled to help them continue their wonderful work. Horse riding provides a whole range of physical and emotional benefits to all riders, but particularly to those with autism, physical and learning disabilities and it was a pleasure to witness the joy that riding brings.
While our fundraising efforts have been curtailed by the pandemic, we have continued to make donations to local charities, including to Lewes Castle Rotary Club’s campaign for Essential Materials for Local Schools and the Coro Nuovo Concert on behalf of the NHS.
We are also long-time supporters of our local hospice, St Peter & St James, sponsoring their diaries and Christmas Lights of Love concert.
We welcome opportunities to sponsor local events and organisations and would be happy to hear from you if you have a proposal that you would like us to consider.
