A ranking from Chambers shows that we have stood out in the most rigorous, independent and in-depth research process of any legal directory on the market, and have emerged as one of the best in our field of family law.

Lexcel

We are proud to have been awarded Lexcel, an accreditation given by the Law Society to law firms who meet the very highest standards of client care, compliance and practice management. The process involves a rigorous annual assessment and only around 16% of UK solicitors achieve this gold standard mark. We have consistently retained Lexcel accreditation every year since we were first established in 2012.

Family Law Advanced

Gilva Tisshaws holds the Family Law Advanced Accreditation. To obtain this she was required to demonstrate a high level of practical knowledge, skill and experience in various specialist areas of family law and to undergo regular re-accreditation to ensure the high standards required are maintained.

Resolution Specialist Accreditation

Three members of the firm Camilla, Richard and Verity, currently hold Resolution Accredited Specialist status. Camilla in International Family Law and Private Children, Richard in Complex Financial and Property Matters (for both medium and low income households, as well as high net worth cases) and Verity in Private Children and Complex Financial Remedy (High Net Worth) cases.

Specialist Accreditation is a significant achievement which demonstrates substantial knowledge and skill.

Resolution

We are all members of Resolution, a national organisation of family lawyers committed to a constructive and non-confrontational approach to family law matters. The code of practice we follow requires lawyers to deal with each other in a civilised way and to encourage their clients to focus on reaching a fair agreement in a way that benefits their family, particularly where children are involved.

As family solicitors, the protection and confidentiality of clients’ personal data is fundamental to our relationship with clients, both as a matter of law and ethics. As such, we comply with both UK and EU data protection laws and with the Solicitors Regulation Authority rules on client and data confidentiality. Our Cyber Essentials certification is part of our drive to protect client information and the threat of cyber-attack.
