Charity of the Year 2018!

Tisshaws Family Law Solicitors are pleased to announce that our inaugural Charity of the Year will be St Peter & St James Hospice.

The hospice works with terminally ill patients in Sussex and provides vital end of life care both within the hospice and in the patient’s own home. Last year the hospice helped over 800 people and their families during a most devastating time and we want to help them do the same again this year.

The hospice’s services are free to those that need them but only a small amount of the costs are met by the government, the hospice has to raise over 80% of its running costs through fundraising. When you consider it costs £7,200 every day to provide this you can see this is not an easy feat.

And that’s where Tisshaws, our clients, colleagues and connections come in! We hope to raise lots of money to help St Peter & St James continue their amazing work this year!

We have already provided a lot for the hospice’s online auction which took place in February and that’s just the start of what we have planned. This month two of our lawyers, Hana and Lidia, will be braving the hot coals and taking part in a Firewalk organised by St Peter & St James and in May a team from Tisshaws will be taking on the Mid Sussex Marathon Weekend; running 26.2 miles over the bank holiday weekend!

We’re willing to put ourselves through these challenges to raise money to help those who face far worse!
