Thank you so much to all those entering our annual photography competition. The theme this year was Seasonal Sussex, and the standard of entries was exceptionally high. This made the judging process a real challenge. We were sorry we couldn’t award more prizes and to disappoint those not winning a prize this year.
Eventually, after a close-run finish we awarded first prize in the Adult category to Ellie Morris, who captured a timeless image of pheasants during a walk at Wakehurst.
Second prize went to Paul Appleton for his image of the early evening harvest on the South Downs, which we enjoyed for being so typically Sussex.
Third prize went to Clive Trusler’s photograph of a windy day at the Witterings.
In the Junior category, we all loved the light captured by the winner Jude Morris’s image of autumn leaves.
Our two runners up in the Junior category were Isaac Morris for his striking tree image.
And Noah Play’s beautiful silhouetted trees.
