Enter our Autumn Photography Competition celebrating Sussex People, Places & Pastimes

 

As last year’s photography competition was such a success, we’ve decided to run another one this year. Our Autumn competition still celebrates our glorious county with the theme, Sussex People, Places & Pastimes.

Autumn is a lovely time of year in Sussex, full of the amazing colours of the turning leaves, neon-lit skies, bonfires, fireworks, and stormy seas. So, while you’re out and about take some photographs of Sussex People, Places or Pastimes and enter your favourite for our competition.

We now have three of last year’s wonderful winning entries up on our office walls and can’t wait to add to our collection.

 

The Prizes

There are two age categories, with the following prizes:

 Adults 

 Juniors (11-18 yrs)

  • 1st Fujifilm Instax Mini Instant Camera
  • 2nd & 3rd £25 Amazon Vouchers

Winners will also have their photograph printed and framed for the Tisshaws office.

The Entries

  • The theme of the competition is Sussex People, Places & Pastimes and images must only be taken in East or West Sussex, Brighton & Hove.
  • Each entrant may enter up to a maximum of one image.
  • Entries must be in digital format only – no prints or slides will be accepted.
  • Photographs to be in landscape format only.
  • Entries must be JPEG files with a minimum resolution of 300dpi and a maximum file size of 10MB.

 

How to Enter

  • Photographs to be entered online at marketing@tisshawssolicitors.co.uk
  • Subject headline of email – Autumn Photography Competition 2022.
  • Please send your entry as a separate attachment and not in the body of of the email.
  • Digital files should include the title of the image and photographer’s name e.g. whitecliffs_PeterSmith.jpg
  • Include your name, address, telephone number, email address, which age category you are entering and a brief description of the image in the email.
  • Entrants under 16 yrs will need permission of a parent or guardian to enter.
  • Entry deadline is 11.59pm Sunday 20th November 2022.

 

Shortlisted & Winning Entries

  • Gilva Tisshaw will choose the shortlisted images and overall winners.
  • Winners will be notified via e-mail as soon as possible after the competition ends.
  • Winners’ names will be published on Tisshaws website, and winners may be required to participate in publicity.

 

Terms & Conditions

  • Entry to the competition is acceptance of the following terms and conditions, so please read them carefully.
  • Entry to the competition is free and open to all, except employees of Tisshaws and their families.
  • Entries must be free from text and photographer’s watermark.
  • All photographs submitted must be the work of the individual who submits them.
  • Entrants must ensure that photographs have been taken with the permission of the subject (where necessary) and do not infringe the copyright of any third party.
  • No photograph to be obscene, defamatory or in breach of any applicable legislation or regulations. If Tisshaws has reason to believe your entry is not your own work or otherwise breaches this rule, your entry will NOT be considered.
  • No image that has previously won an award in any photographic competition or an image that has been paid for in any publication may be entered into this competition.
  • No manipulation except basic overall adjustment faithful to the original image is allowed in terms of exposure, contrast and sharpness.
  • Copyright of all entries remains with the photographer, but Tisshaws reserves the right to use, publish and republish entries in connection with the competition, without payment.
  • By entering this competition, you grant permission to Tisshaws to reproduce your photograph in electronic format, hard copy and social media, should it be selected to promote the competition.
  • While no fees will be payable for any of the above uses, photographs will be credited if an image is used.
  • All entries are sent at the photographer’s risk. Tisshaws regret they cannot accept liability for any loss or damage of any images entered in the competition (howsoever caused), nor for any other loss or damage resulting therefrom.
  • The organiser’s decision on all matters relating to the competition is final and no correspondence will be entered into concerning the competition’s judges and organisation.
  • Your details will not be passed on to any third party.
  • All prizes are non-transferable.
