Help us find and celebrate three more Community Champions

At the start of the global pandemic in March 2020, nobody could have predicted the continued heartache, challenges and hardship people have had to face over the past two years. As proud members of our local community, we wanted to give something back and launched our Community Champions campaign in June of that year.

The campaign involved the community nominating local unsung heroes who had gone above and beyond to help their neighbourhood through these difficult times. We were touched by the nominations we received highlighting all the wonderful ways in which people pulled together, whether that was shopping for a neighbour, home schooling for a friend’s children or a key worker who had continually gone beyond the call of duty.

It is now almost two years since Covid-19 first made its presence felt and thankfully, life is becoming more stable as we inch our way back to normality. In recognition of the continued challenging environment, and as part of our 10^th birthday celebrations this April, we would like to find three more Community Champions to celebrate and reward.

Winners will be rewarded with a £50 voucher from one of our wonderful local businesses who may appreciate some extra community support themselves.

So, please send us nominations of those you’d like to celebrate, telling us all about the fabulous things they have done to make a difference to the lives of others in our local community. At the end of April, we will draw three names at random to be our lucky winners.
