Charlotte DeCecco

Assistant Solicitor

Since gaining her undergraduate law degree from the University of Surrey, Charlotte has obtained her LPC and master’s degree from the University of Law, Guildford and completed her training contract, qualifying as a solicitor in January 2024.

Charlotte works across a variety of family matters including divorce and separation, financial settlements, private child matters and pre-nuptial/post-nuptial agreements. She has a particular interest in financial settlements and is keen to gain more experience in handling complex financial assets.

Warm and compassionate, Charlotte always works to put the interests of her client first. As a member of Resolution, she is committed to resolving issues as amicably as possible, to minimise the levels of stress, time, and expense for her clients. Her commitment to resolving issues without resorting to the courtroom, means that she is eager to train in collaborative law, an approach that help clients reach agreements without going to court.

A further ambition is to improve on her French language skills, in order to advise French-speaking clients in their native tongue.

Along with spending time with family, friends and her much-loved dog, Jessie, Charlotte enjoys amateur dramatics and performing in the annual pantomime. While at university she won a Student Union Award for Best Student Run Event of the Year for the Law Society’s Virtual Murder Mystery event. Thankfully, this did not persuade Charlotte to embark on a criminal law career and we’re delighted she has joined us to build on her career as a family lawyer.
